Leicester City faced off with Manchester United at Old Trafford in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
Leicester City were looking to get their campaign back on track when they made a short trip to Old Trafford on October 30th.
The Foxes’ form in the Premier League has been mixed, with back-to-back wins swiftly followed by a 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
The Carabao Cup is clearly secondary to the Premier League for Steve Cooper this season though, with the Leicester manager making nine changes to his side on the night.
A number of fringe players were given a chance to impress but things really did not get off to a great start for the away outfit in Manchester.
Leicester matched the Red Devils’ energy in the early stages but fell behind after just 15 minutes thanks to a wonder strike from Casemiro.

Alejandro Garnacho dominated James Justin during Manchester United vs Leicester City
Alejandro Garnacho provided the assist for Casemiro’s opener before getting on the scoresheet himself with 28 minutes on the clock.
Man United did not stop there, however, with two more goals coming before the half-time whistle.
Bruno Fernandes took a free-kick from about 20 yards out which was deflected into the Leicester net off James Justin, summing up the right-back’s display fairly well.
The Foxes right-back was completely outclassed by Garnacho on the night, not able to get anywhere near the Argentine during his time on the pitch.
He failed to close Garnacho down when he assisted the opener and his marking was poor when the Man Utd ace fired in their second from a Diogo Dalot cross.
The right-back’s errors did not stop there, however, as a lack of communication with fellow defender Caleb Okoli allowed Bruno Fernades to run in on goal and score United’s fifth of the day.

Steve Cooper knows what he must do with James Justin after Manchester United
This is not the first game Justin has really struggled on the defensive front for the Midlands outfit this season.
Justin was poor against Southampton last month but got off lightly thanks to some late heroics from his teammates.
Cooper and co. did not get as lucky in their last Premier League meeting, however, with Justin labelled ‘poor’ vs Nottingham Forest after once again costing his side goals.
Ricardo Pereira did start that tie at right-back ahead of Justin but Cooper still played the latter and just moved him onto the opposite side of the backline.
However, after he was once again completely outclassed against Manchester United, it is now clear the Leicester boss must drop Justin for Leicester’s next outing.
