Leicester City were thumped on their own patch by Brentford on Friday night.

Leicester came into the King Power stadium clash knowing a win would lift them out of the relegation zone.

However, those hopes were over inside the first 30 minutes, as they shipped three goals to the visiting Bees, who won back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Leicester have now failed to score in six consecutive home games – which sets a new unwanted Premier League record.

As such, Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side were booed off at the full-time whistle and now Jamie Vardy has just issued his honest response to the supporters who voiced their frustration.

Jamie Vardy admits it’s hard to hear Leicester fans boo

Speaking to BBC Sport after the Brentford defeat, Jamie Vardy admitted it’s really hard to see Leicester fans protesting and booing.

“It’s hard but we just have to concentrate on the football,” Vardy said. “Everyone is entitled to their opinion and to voice that and that is what the fans are doing.”

The veteran striker also conceded that the first goal knocked their confidence.

“Possibly. All the goals we have conceded too easy. We played a lot better second half but it’s a lot easier to do that when you are losing. We have all been there before and had spirited comebacks in the past. I don’t see why that shouldn’t change. It wasn’t to be tonight and we weren’t good enough.”

Leicester must drop Jordan Ayew and Bobby De Cordova Reid

Leicester need to change something in attack because the goals have completely dried up.

Quite simply, Jordan Ayew and Bobby De Cordova Reid on the flanks just aren’t good enough as they hardly pose any threat.

So, for the remainder of the season, they must be dropped to the bench with Stephy Mavididi and Facundo Buonanotte coming on.

Even 15-year-old Jeremy Monga should be given the opportunity over the two ageing wingers, who have been given more than enough chances.
