Leicester City slipped to another defeat on Wednesday night, and this time it was Manchester City dishing out the punishment.
The Foxes went into this match on a run of 13 losses in 14 matches and a second-minute strike from Jack Grealish ensured they’d be extending that losing run.
Man City unsurprisingly dominated the opening exchanges, with Omar Marmoush doubling their lead in the first-half after an error from Mads Hermansen.
Just like most of their time under Ruud van Nistelrooy, Leicester barely laid a glove on their opponents, accumulating just an xG of 0.02.
Leicester’s 2-0 defeat against Man City left them 12 points adrift of safety while fans had one clear message for Van Nistelrooy.

Leicester fans have urged Ruud van Nistelrooy to resign
Since being appointed manager in November, the Dutchman hasn’t received the greatest hand or worked under the easiest of circumstances.
But the performances and results have been appalling, with fans urging Van Nistelrooy to be sacked on numerous occasions.
It’s become clear the 48-year-old isn’t up to the standard of managing in the Premier League, and now supporters have urged him to resign from his role.
“Do the right thing and resign,” one fan wrote while another replied: “Which decent manager would even want to manage our club nowadays even when Top pulls his finger out and actually does something useful like sack RVN.”
“Solid 2-0 defeat lads. Great job! Like Ruud eluded to, we are just happy to be here, not for too much longer though. Joke manager, joke players, joke club,” a third angrily tweeted.
“How on earth is Ruud in a job still?” another questioned while a sixth commented: “Another shambolic performance well done Ruud.”
“Ruud all over the city players just leave please,” a seventh said, urging Van Nistelrooy to walk out of the club.
Why Leicester can’t sack Van Nistelrooy
In any normal circumstances, the manager would have been sacked after 14 losses in 15 matches but the Foxes are in a difficult positions.
After dismissing Steve Cooper earlier in the season, Leicester can’t afford to sack Van Nistelrooy financially, meaning they’re forced to stick with the 48-year-old.
That is proving to be torture for those watching, as it’s now nine games since Leicester scored a goal in the league, with their relegation almost confirmed.
City are 12 points adrift of safety with just eight matches remaining and that means Championship football looms.
