Jamie Vardy had a birthday to remember as Leicester City hammered Queens Park Rangers to reach the Fourth Round of the FA Cup.
Vardy marked his 38th birthday in style as he scored from the penalty spot in the Foxes’ 6-2 win against the Championship club.
The forward is a certified Leicester legend and with that tag comes plenty of abuse from the opposition fans.
QPR’s 4,500 travelling fans were no different and gave Vardy plenty of joshing throughout the game before he was eventually subbed for Patson Daka.

Jamie Vardy reacts to QPR fan chants during Leicester win
It’s become a familiar theme over the years now that opposition fans like to taunt Vardy with chants about his personal life.
More often than not, the forward ignores them and responds in the best way: by scoring.
He did that once again and in an attempt to rest his legs before Wednesday’s game against Crystal Palace, Ruud van Nistelrooy brought him off for Daka.
As he left the pitch he then turned to the travelling QPR contingent and waved to them before blowing a kiss in their direction.
His response got a large cheer from the Leicester fans inside the King Power Stadium and those in the away end also took it in good faith.

Ask Leicester fans who the club’s best player of all time is and you’ll struggle to find a name other than Vardy.
The spot-kick strike was his 197th in Leicester colours, taking him one step closer to the incredible 200 goal mark.

Over 100 of those have been in the Premier League alone, which is a phenomenal achievement for someone who made his top flight debut aged 27.
There is also the small matter of closing in on 150 Premier League goals and breaking into the division’s top 10 all-time leading scorers.
They’re accolades that not many who follow in Vardy’s footsteps will achieve and he is truly one of a kind.
