Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca’s first signing after joining in the summer was Harry Winks.
Winks joined from Tottenham for a fee believed to be around £10 million.
The Spurs academy product spent last season on loan at Sampdoria in the Italian top flight, has been in excellent form for the Foxes in the base of their midfield. He puts that down to the coaching from the manager.
Maresca great at getting the best out of his players

Winks was full of praise for Maresca, who haile his ability to get the best out of his players.
“The manager [Enzo Maresca] hasn’t really changed my game; he’s just pulled out more of my strengths,” he told the EFL.
“Rather than looking at weaknesses of players and where they need to improve, he looks at the strengths and tries to make you the best player you can be to help the team in the best way.
“Another thing he does which is overlooked is just the way that he embraces enjoying football and going out there and playing with a smile. You forget nowadays in football how much of an important message that is to players because there are a lot of negative things you see, but as players, if you go out there and you enjoy your football, you’ll play your best.”
Maresca the best tactician
Harry Winks has worked under a number of top level managers such as Premier League winners Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, but he says that Maresca is the best in terms of tactics.
“I’ve worked for some influential managers in the game, and this manager [Enzo Maresca] is probably one of the best in terms of ideas, tactics and everything in terms of management,” he says. “I’ve learned so much, in a footballing way I feel like I’ve improved a lot in my game as well and I’ve only been here for a couple of months.
“The way he makes you see the game, the scenarios he tells you, the way that he almost tells you how the game’s going to go before you go into it, and where the solutions are. It’s just another level of coaching that I haven’t really experienced, and I’m loving it so much.”
