Former Leicester City man, Ayoze Perez has admitted that he is happy following his move to Real Betis after a poor spell with the Foxes.
Ayoze Perez joined Leicester City back in 2019 from Newcastle United and went on to make over 110 appearances.
The Spaniard spent the second half of last season on loan with Real Betis as the Foxes were relegated from the Premier League.
Following this, Enzo Maresca’s side let him leave on a free transfer as he rejoined Betis on a permanent basis.
Since his move, he has gone on to feature 12 times, score four and assist one in La Liga.
What has Ayoze Perez said?
The Spaniard didn’t come at a cheap price to the Foxes, costing £30 million from Newcastle. A hefty fee at that moment in time.
He had made nearly 200 appearances for the Magpies and had become highly rated.
While with the Foxes he did have some great moments including his hattrick in the famous 9-0 win over Southampton.

Speaking with AS, via Sports Witness, Perez has been discussing the positive impact a move has had on himself and Isco.
On that, he said: “It happened to me a bit the same, that’s why I stayed. I felt happy again playing football, I felt like a footballer again and that is priceless.”
It is clear from this that by the end of his Leicester tenure, he was feeling unhappy about the stage of his career.
With the loan spell and his subsequent release, it potentially benefitted both parties to do so.
Ironically, Perez had done well in the Championship before with Newcastle as he won the league under Rafa Benitez.
If he was unhappy it made sense to let him go but with the Foxes at the top of the table right now, fans aren’t missing him too much.
