Steve Cooper hasn’t had the desired impact at Leicester City since taking over from Enzo Maresca.
Leicester have won just one of their opening seven Premier League games, taking six points from a possible 21.
Cooper has come under huge backlash from City fans for his team selection and pragmatic style of play but those pressures were eased on the weekend when his side defeated Bournemouth 1-0.
Anyhow, given the quality of the squad, it’s evident The Foxes are underachieving and should be aspiring for a much higher finish than simply avoiding the drop.
One Leicester player shares that same notion.

Bilal El Khannouss wants Leicester City to finish top 10
Bilal El Khannouss’ agent Karima Ben Aissa, who is also his mother, spoke to Het Belanf van Limburg recently and admitted that he wants to finish in the top 10 of the Premier League this season.
“His goal is to score more and be more decisive,” Aissa said.
“That was another of his weaker points at Genk. Moreover, he wants to do his best to have the team finish in the top 10 of the standings at the end of the season.”
That goal looks pretty unlikely under Cooper’s stewardship as his style of play just isn’t getting the best out of his star players.
Ricardo Periera and Abdul Fatawu are undoubtedly among the most talented players in the squad but have been reduced to the bench – to the frustration of supporters.
Even El Khannouss, who joined from Genk in a £21m deal, has played just 79 minutes of Premier League football.
Bilal El Khannouss needs to displace Facundo Buonanotte
At the moment, El Khannouss is behind Facundo Buonanotte in the pecking order.
Buonanotte has arguably been Leicester’s signing of the summer having registered four goal involvements in six league outings.
So, El Khannouss will have to continue training at a high level and perhaps impress in the cameo appearances he’s handed.
