Leicester City face a big test on Monday in the form of Newcastle United, who have been on cloud nine in recent weeks.
The Magpies went into the international break as Carabao Cup champions as Newcastle claimed their first piece of domestic silverware in 70 years after beating Liverpool at Wembley Stadium in an entertaining contest.
With Eddie Howe’s side in the race for UEFA Champions League football and having won their last two games in the Premier League, Leicester know they will be up against it on Monday with Newcastle, who will be smelling blood against the Foxes.
And a big injury update has now been issued on Alexander Isak, who this season has been arguably Newcastle’s best player.

Alexander Isak expected to feature for Newcastle against Leicester
According to the Daily Mail’s Craig Hope, Isak is expected to feature against Leicester despite recent fitness concerns surrounding the striker, with the journalist writing: “For all the FPL-ers in my DMs & asking in comments… yes, I think Isak will be fine!”
With Leicester struggling to score goals and keeping them out on the other side of the pitch, Isak featuring for Newcastle on Monday could be a recipe for disaster for the East Midlands side.
Indeed, the Swedish international’s form has generated buzz that Newcastle will only sell Isak in the summer for £150m according to iNews, with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool interested in the 25-year-old attacker.
And for Leicester, Isak starting for Newcastle could lead to another game to forget for the Foxes, where the former Real Sociedad star could have a field day at the King Power Stadium if the hosts are not on the ball defensively.
Leicester’s April schedule doesn’t get any easier after Newcastle
Leicester can only blame themselves for their dismal return to the Premier League and their expected return to the Championship, where a new plan is needed if the Foxes are to ensure long-term success back in the top-flight.

And looking at the remaining fixtures for April, things do not get any easier for Leicester, with a tricky away game against Brighton & Hove Albion next up for the Foxes followed by the pending Premier League champions, Liverpool.
With Wolves away to cap off the April fixtures, this month will be a gauntlet of sorts for Leicester, who will hope to get at least one good result before heading into May, where relegation to the Championship will likely be confirmed.
