Leicester City midfielder Cesare Casadei said that staying ‘patient’ throughout the game and sticking to the game plan ultimately got Leicester over the line in their 2-0 win over Stoke City.
The Foxes secured all three points through goals from strikers Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy.
They retain their place at the top of the Championship going into the international break after winning ten of their opening eleven league games.
Cesare Casadei: ‘not an easy game’

Chelsea loanee Casadei spoke after the game, saying that it was not easy to get the win.
“They were all behind the ball, it was not an easy game,” he told the club website. “It was a tough game because it was difficult to find the space between the lines.
“I think we managed to keep the ball with patience and, in the end, we found two goals and we won the game. [Patience] is the key word, absolutely. In games like this, you have to be patient because it’s hard to find the space.
“We did very well. We stayed patient and we found the three points.”
“I just try to give my best, to work hard in the middle of the pitch, and today was a game where we had to wait sometimes,” he added. “I think the most important thing is the win and to get the three points.
“At the start of the game, they are close, there is no space inside, but with time, they start to get tired. Especially in the second half, they opened a little bit more and we found more space in the middle of the pitch and we managed to get through.”
