Leicester City host Wolves in a relegation six-pointer at the bottom of the Premier League.

Leicester have four points from their opening three games under Ruud van Nistelrooy, tasting a 4-0 defeat against Newcastle United last time out.

The Foxes are 17th in the Premier League table, five points clear of 19th-place Wolves, who could have the new manager bounce on their side.

Wolves became the latest to switch managers in 2024 after sacking Gary O’Neil and replacing him with Portuguese boss Vitor Pereira.

A win for van Nistelrooy’s men would take them eight points clear of the Old Gold, providing them a much-needed cushion over the festive period.

Leicester City team news

Harry Winks is fit and available after missing the last four games through injury.

The Englishman returned to training this week and van Nistelrooy will now be tempted to replace him with Hamza Choudhury in the starting lineup.

Leicester are sweating on the fitness of Mads Hermansen after he went off at half-time against Newcastle. There’s a possibility he could play, although Jakub Stolarczyk could also make a rare start.

Wilfred Ndidi remains out for the next two weeks while the only other definite long-term absentees are Abdul Fatawu and Ricardo Pereira.
