Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca has revealed what he said to his squad on his first day in charge of the club.
The Italian joined the Foxes as manager this summer after leaving his role as assistant manager at Manchester City in order to try and lead the club back to the Premier League.
He’s made a great start to life as manager with the Foxes currently sitting at the top of the Championship, ten points clear of third place after 11 matches.
Ahead of the trip to face Swansea City this weekend, boss Maresca spoke about what he often tells his players not to worry about on a regular basis.

Maresca on his words to the Leicester team
In his pre-match press conference, Maresca admitted that he told his players not to worry about making mistakes when he first arrived at the club.
“I remember perfectly because I repeat it: do what we have to do and don’t worry if there are any mistakes. This is something I made at the beginning.
“It doesn’t matter if we make mistakes because mistakes are part of the process. We’re going to make mistakes in the following games for sure. But it’s the way we believe and we’re going to continue in that.”

Maresca looks to be a man on a mission
Since he arrived at the King Power Stadium, Maresca has done everything right with the Foxes occupying top spot in the Championship, losing just once this season.
At the time of his appointment, it certainly raised some eyebrows – however, he has gone above and beyond anyone’s imagination with Leicester looking like they could secure an immediate return to the top flight this season.
