Jonny Evans left Leicester in the summer, many around the club were surprised about this, until he made his return to Old Trafford.
The former club captain departed the King Power before returning to his boyhood club, Manchester United.
A move which makes leaving Leicester almost acceptable, especially at this point in his career.
Since arriving at United, Evans has been impressing, with his highlight coming in their 1-0 win over Burnley two weeks ago.
In this game Evans made his full second debut starting the game at Turf Moor, he kept a clean sheet and assisted the games only goal.
But now in a recent interview, Evans has shed light onto his return to United and explained his first contacts with Erik ten Hag.

Evans on United move
Speaking with Manchester United’s club media, Evans recalled his first chat with Ten Hag, following the 1-0 defeat to United at the King Power in 2022.
“I think back to when we played last season actually,” he revealed. “We played quite early on in the season, United won 1-0 at Leicester, and I think I had a good game that night.
“He gave me a little bit of a jokey comment of ‘do you fancy coming back?’ So I was like ‘yeah, yeah, of course, no problem’. And it’s funny how things work out. I just don’t think either of us thought that would’ve ever have been a possibility.
“But I suppose maybe he thought, with my experience, and my experience of the club before, and the relationship I had with everyone here, it wouldn’t be a problem for me at this stage of my career, coming in and settling in. I’m feeling part of it and being able to provide something.
