Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei is edging ever closer to a loan move to Leicester City.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed the agreement for the 20-year-old is at the final stages after Casadei rejected interest from Serie A side Genoa.
Foxes boss Enzo Maresca has made it clear of the plans to sign the ‘Italian starlet‘ who caught the eye at the recent U20 World Cup, where he scored seven times, and assisted twice as he helped Italy reach the final.
Should the deal for the Chelsea youngster go through, it will be his second spell in the Championship, after he spent the second half of the last campaign at relegated Reading.

Where will Cesare Casadei fit in at Leicester City?
In possession on Sunday against Coventry City, the Foxes played in a 3-2-2-3 formation with Ricardo Pereira playing as an inverted wingback alongside Wilfred Ndidi in the middle.
Man of the Match Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall played in a more advanced role alongside Harry Winks, with the pair playing behind the front three of Jamie Vardy, Stephy Mavididi and Kasey McAteer.
20-year-old Casadei would be perfectly suited in role alongside Dewsbury-Hall, with his eye for goal and wide passing range.

The youngster has shown he has the quality needed to play in this division whilst on loan at Reading last season, hence the interest from the Foxes.
New boss Maresca has made it clear his intention to sign the fellow Italian, showing his trust and faith in the youngster to make his mark on the Foxes promotion push.
