Leicester City fans heard booing two players horror show against Wolves

Leicester City won’t be rushing to watch the highlights of their performance against Wolves after yet another defensive horror show.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side found themselves two goals down at the break after goals from Goncalo Guedes and Rodrigo Gomes put Wolves in the ascendency.

It was the story of Leicester’s season as their own mishaps at the back cost them.

Jannik Vestergaard allowed Guedes to peel away while Conor Coady was too slow to react for the first goal whereas James Justin completely misjudged a crossfield pass that gave Gomes all the time in the world to double the away side’s lead before Mattheus Cunha made it three.

Frustrated by what they had seen, fans inside the King Power Stadium booed the team off but during the game, audible boos were directed towards two players.

Danny Ward and Justin have been a reason for concern amongst plenty of Leicester fans this season.

There was anger from Foxes fans after Ward was named to start against Wolves and he did himself no favours by conceding three first half goals.

This means that Ward has conceded six goals across 90 minutes of action, meaning on average he has conceded a goal every 15 minutes.

Justin meanwhile has been an ever-present in the side but has come in for plenty of criticism with a large portion of the goals conceded coming down the right hand.

It appears that fans have had enough of them as both players were booed every time they touched the ball before the rest of the team were jeered off at half time.

Leicester players have to take accountability

The sacking of Steve Cooper was supposed to see a turnaround in form, but even for Van Nistelrooy, this is looking like an uphill task.

Leicester’s players were clearly not on board with Cooper’s tactics and he was rightly dismissed but that meant there was no room for error.

With each week that has gone by though, the Foxes have gotten worse and the common denominator is the players.

Countless individual errors have costed Leicester this season and unless a drastic turnaround is made, relegation could be likely.
