Leicester target Callum Doyle
Leicester‘s interest in Doyle appears to be hugely serious, with Enzo Maresca a huge fan of the youngster, from their time together at the Etihad.
Doyle is a player who has impressed two seasons running on loan, with Sunderland having him in League One for the 2021-22 season. He was praised highly by the boss at that time Alex Neil who called Doyle, ‘supremely talented’.
Speaking on the ‘Beyond The 90 LCFC‘ podcast, Tanner a move for Doyle was inevitable.
He said, “It was inevitable that Enzo [Maresca] would go back, he’s somebody that he [Doyle] really admires… watch this space.”
“Can they convince them to let him go… do Man City think ‘well he’s one we might want to keep.”
Tanner also hinted at potential future moves, suggesting Maresca may not settle for just Doyle. This because of the vast quantity of talented young players on the books at the treble winners.
It has also been suggested that The Foxes will have to utilise the loan market, with some top young players likely to be targeted on loan deals.
