Leicester City are now poised to complete the signing of Montpellier forward Stephy Mavididi for a reasonable fee of £6.9million.
Simon Jones of MailOnline stated that the Englishman underwent his medical for the Foxes on Saturday ahead of his proposed move to the King Power.
He is set to become new boss Enzo Maresca’s fifth signing of the summer. Mavididi follows Harry Winks, Conor Coady, Mads Hermansen and Callum Doyle in making the move to the East Midlands.
The 25-year-old, who is fairly local having been born in Derby, progressed through the ranks at Arsenal’s academy and spent time on loan in the EFL with Charlton Athletic and Preston North End before moving overseas in 2018 to link up with Italian giants Juventus.
Initially plying his trade for their Under-23s, the winger went on to make just one appearance for the Old Lady.

He spent time on loan in Ligue 1 with Dijon, where he scored eight goals and assisted two in 28 appearances, prior to making the permanent switch to the French top flight with Montpellier.
In three seasons with La Paillade, Mavididi featured on 98 occasions. He found the net 21 times and produced a further five assists.
The 25-year-old’s contract was set to expire next summer, hence the cut-price fee for his services.
Joining Leicester with a wealth of experience, the former Gunner not only offers Maresca an exciting attacking option, but also promises longevity with his best years still ahead of him.
The Mavididi deal
Santi Aouna also revealed that the Foxes will insert a 10% future sell-on clause into the deal for the forward. This is seemingly an extremely shrewd piece of business.
Able to play anywhere across the front line, Mavididi is a versatile option with pace and dribbling amongst his top qualities.
He could prove to be an important part of the promotion puzzle for Leicester should they return to the Premier League at the first time of asking next season.
