Leicester City haven’t had an active England international for a few years now.
The Foxes have been on a decline since 2022, which was the first year they experienced real financial restrictions in the transfer market.
That summer they lost Kasper Schmeichel and Wesley Fofana, with just Wout Faes and Alex Smithies coming in as replacements.
Ultimately, it led to a shock relegation with Brendan Rodgers getting the sack after four years in charge in the East Midlands.
Leicester have been working their way back since but again, they find themselves staring down the barrel of relegation.
So, it may be a while until Leicester are in a position where they have active England internationals on their books.
Anyhow, with Thomas Tuchel set to name his first squad this week, we thought we’d look at Leicester’s last five players to represent the Three Lions.

James Justin
James Justin, who is the only player in this list to still play for Leicester, is the last England international for the club.
He only made one appearance for the Three Lions, which came in June 2022 in a 1-0 defeat against Hungary.
Justin played as a left wingback that day.
Harvey Barnes
Harvey Barnes pulled on the England shirt for the first time during the 2020/21 season, when he netted 13 times whilst laying on four assists for City.
Barnes, 22 at the time, came off the bench as a second-half substitute in a 3-0 win against Wales but hasn’t played for his country since.
The jet-heeled winger now plies his trade at Newcastle United.

James Maddison
Leicester fans were constantly urging Gareth Southgate to call up James Maddison during his five-year stay.
Despite glittering form, Southgate often snubbed Maddison which is evinced by the three caps he earned as a Leicester player.
The 28-year-old, who’s now at Tottenham Hotspur, hasn’t played for England since June 2024.
Ben Chilwell
Ben Chilwell established himself as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League at Leicester and as such, he was rewarded with his England debut in September 2018.
Chilwell, for a time, was a key fixture under Southgate but has lost his place over the last year as he’s been exiled out of Chelsea by Enzo Maresca.
The former Leicester man is trying to rebuild his career on loan at Crystal Palace.
Harry Maguire
Leicester gave Harry Maguire the springboard to become an England international during his two-year spell at the club.
Maguire was one of the best defenders at the 2018 World Cup and from then on, it was inevitable he would leave City,
Manchester United signed him for £80m a year later, which made him the most expensive defender in history.
Whilst Maguire’s United career has been really inconsistent, he’s remained a key player for the Three Lions.
The towering centre-back has collected a whopping 64 caps.
