Former Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy has now opened up on his time at the King Power.
Nampalys Mendy was at Leicester City for six years after arriving as the presumed N’Golo Kante replacement.
However, that didn’t quite go to plan and he spent much of his time as little more than a squad player.
He even spent time away on loan which epitomises the poor move it was for his career and for Leicester.
Now at RC Lens, Mendy is playing Champions League football, while Leicester heads towards Championship glory despite a loss last week.

Mendy on time at Leicester
Mendy opened up about his time at Leicester, particularly on the way he was treated by Brendan Rodgers when speaking to the L’Equipe print version on Wednesday.
“Everything was going well until (Claude) Puel got fired (in February 2019).
“Another manager arrived in Brendan Rodgers, and he gradually pushed me aside. I never head back. He just kept tell me: ‘I have nothing to reproach you for’. And the worst thing is that when I wanted to leave, the club refused.
“In the end, I was just waiting for my contract to end. Honestly, I’ve come alive again since that moment.”
Mendy’s Leicester stats
Mendy made 118 appearances for Leicester in his time at the club however few were good.
Playing mainly as a defensive midfielder he managed a singular goal and two assists in his 118 games.
Mendy was part of the FA Cup-winning squad for the Foxes which will have been the highlight of his time at the King Power.
