Leicester City have several first-teamers away on international duty.

Wout Faes has been in action for Belgium and impressed in their UEFA Nations League victory against Ukraine.

Centre-back partner Jannik Vestergaard has been praised by Danish media for his performance against Portugal.

Viktor Kristiansen, on the other hand, was criticized for his cameo display after coming on as a second-half substitute.

Another Leicester international played on Monday evening and their national media have heaped praise on him.

Ghana’s media hail Jordan Ayew

Jordan Ayew played the full 90 minutes for Ghana in their comfortable 3-0 win against Madagascar on Monday.

Ayew laid on a hat-trick of assists and GhanaSoccerNet hailed his influential performance.

“The Leicester City forward played a pivotal role, registering all three assists as Ghana cruised to an emphatic 3-0 win at Le Grand Stade d’Al Hoceima in Morocco.

“Ayew’s creativity and vision were on full display, delivering a pinpoint free-kick in the 11th minute for Thomas Partey’s opening goal.

“The duo combined again early in the second half, with Ayew providing a well-placed corner for Partey’s second header.

“He capped off his masterclass with a beautifully threaded pass to Mohammed Kudus, who finished clinically to seal Ghana’s victory in the 74th minute.”

Fellow Ghanaian outlet MyJoyOnline added.

“The captain’s performance was exemplary. He was the creative force, setting up all three goals, and demonstrated good work ethic.”

They awarded him a 9/10 rating.

Ayew will return full of confidence

It’s not been an easy debut season for Ayew at Leicester and he’s found himself on the bench in recent weeks.

So, hopefully, his starring performance for Ghana will give him a boost ahead of City’s clash against Manchester City next week.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side have an incredibly tough run of fixtures coming up, with four of their next five games against Champions League-chasing opposition.

Leicester are currently nine points adrift of safety, so they’ll have to be a major turn in form to salvage the season.
