Conor Coady has been looking toward the new season, admitting Leicester City have a huge challenge ahead of them.
The inevitable has happened following Leicester‘s relegation from the Premier League with multiple big names heading out the door.
Youri Tielemans and James Maddison have departed, with Harvey Barnes likely to follow. But Leicester have begun using that money by signing Harry Winks and Conor Coady, who are both established Premier League players.
Coady has 176 Premier League appearances and will give Leicester some much needed experience at the back.
Coady has became a seemingly instant leader at the club, telling Sky Sports that preparations have begun for what will be a difficult season.
Coady on Leicester’s upcoming season
Coady is no stranger to the Championship, spending 167 games of his career there. Speaking with Sky Sports, Coady has spoken of the tough challenge facing The Foxes this season.
“We know how tough the Championship season is, I certainly know how tough it is. I’ve played in it before and I played in it for many years before.”

Coady continued to reveal his motivations behind a move to Leicester.
“First and foremost being given the opportunity to play for Leicester City was something that I really wanted to take.
“It was something I really wanted to do during the summer when I first got the interest.”
The 10-cap England international then took the opportunity to heap praise onto his new boss, along with his teammates.
“The manager’s been fantastic, the players have been incredible with me.”
Coady then gave his view on what it takes to have a successful season in the Championship.
He insisted it is about taking a, “game at a time, listening to the manager as much as we can in pre-season and hopefully hitting the start of the season as hard as we can.”
Huge season ahead, with The Foxes under pressure as promotion favourites.
