‘Over the moon’ – Harry Souttar delighted to be playing for Foxes again

Harry Souttar has voiced his happiness to be playing for Leicester City once again, following transfer rumours over the summer.

Following relegation last season, it felt that Souttar’s time at the King Power could well be over, in spite of his big-money move.

With heavy links to Scottish football, with Rangers, it appeared that Souttar wouldn’t play a part for the Foxes.

When a move didn’t come to the fore, the Australian still wasn’t getting any minutes under Enzo Maresca.

This changed when he started against Liverpool in the EFL Cup, much to the surprise of everyone.

What has Harry Souttar said?

Following the loss to the Reds, Souttar didn’t find himself with any minutes until this weekend’s win over Stoke City.

With a clean sheet and a great performance, support of the centre half is growing once again.

The Aussie international is clearly happy with his return, saying: “I was absolutely buzzing to be back in, obviously, I played a cup game a couple of weeks ago, but that was my first league start of the season.

“Just absolutely over the moon to be honest with you.”

The attitude of Souttar had been questioned by some fans, over the summer, but now his mindset seems to be top-tier.

He is moving in the right direction, just like the club is right now.

On that, he said: “I was just so delighted to be out there with the boys again.

“Obviously, we’ve made a really good start to the season and, and another win on the weekend there, which put us in a really good position going into this break.”

A great start and long may it continue with all these players moving together towards promotion.
