Leicester City’s performance has been described as ‘scrappy’ following their draw against Everton.
Leicester City were held to a plucky draw at home to Everton in what was a real six-pointer at the foot of the Premier League table.
The Foxes managed to grab a point after a poor first half which saw Steve Cooper’s side down at the break following a goal from Iliman Ndiaye, who looked to consistently get the better of full-back James Justin.
However, a decent finish from Stephy Mavididi got Cooper’s side back on level terms, and whilst Leicester City tried their luck towards the end of the game, they had to accept another draw at home.
Although the Foxes were able to limit the away side from not getting their first win of the season, there are very few positives that can be taken from the game, and their performance has even been correctly described as ‘slow’.

Leicester City performance described as ‘scrappy’ following Everton performance
Despite picking up plenty of positives from the previous two games against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace, it was clear that Cooper’s side were unable to build on that, and they were most certainly not worthy of three points at home against a poor Everton side.
Rob Tanner has expressed his frustration at Cooper’s tactics, where he wrote on X: “A frustrating afternoon. Another slow start and a scrappy performance overall, lacking in cohesion and quality in the final third.”
The result means that Leicester City continue their winless streak in the Premier League up to five games.
Steve Cooper tactics see Leicester City struggle to take game by the scruff of the neck
With all due respect to the away side, Leicester City should most certainly be taking the game to Everton, especially when playing at the King Power Stadium, as Cooper’s side’s inability to do so could easily be crucial come the end of the Premier League season.
Leicester City most certainly have attacking talent in-and-around their squad, from Jamie Vardy to Mavididi, but something is clearly missing from the side, meaning that the Foxes quite simply are lacking cohesion in the final third, and it is most certainly something that Cooper will have to see to imminently.
Whether it is the substitutions yet again faltering Leicester City in their attacking abilities, or a lack of confidence, it is something that could have drastic effects on the squad and their ability to perform in the grudge matches.
