Some Leicester City fans have voiced their concerns about the future of Robert Huth after an advert for a loans manager became available.

Huth has been in charge of the club’s loans since 2022 and facilitated 10 this season, including Harry Souttar, as well as youngsters such as Brandon Cover.

The German is a Leicester legend amongst the fanbase after his instrumental role in helping the Foxes avoid relegation in the 2014/15 campaign before lifting the Premier League one season later.

Leicester City looking for new loans manager with ‘significant experience’

An advert that has recently gone live from the club has been spotted by supporters, with the Foxes looking for a loans manager with “significant experience in professional football to work with and support our young players on loan”.

In the description, applicants are told that they will work closely with the club’s director of football John Rudkin, but there is no mention of Huth, as revealed by LeicestershireLive.

Leicester are yet to confirm if Huth is still at the club and given the recent job advert, the signs don’t look promising.

One of Huth’s biggest jobs was to find loan moves for players in need of game time and none fitted the bill more than Tom Cannon.

Frustrated by his lack of minutes at the King Power Stadium, Cannon was sent on loan to Huth’s former club Stoke City on deadline day.

Cannon struggled to make an impact in his first two games before then scoring four goals in a 6-1 win against Portsmouth.

His four goals account for 40% of Stoke’s entire goal tally this season.

Alan Nixon reported that the Foxes may consider recalling the 21-year-old from the Potters in the hope of selling him for around £10m, with several Championship clubs interested in his signature.

Sheffield United and West Bromwich Albion are two of the sides reportedly interested in the forward’s signature, which could spark a bidding war and work in Leicester’s favour.
