Sky Sports pundit predicts ‘formidable’ Leicester result v Preston

Leicester are back at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday as they face early season contenders Preston.

Leicester City under the tutelage of Enzo Maresca, are far and away the favourites to win the Championship this season.

However there are two sides who are staying within touching distance ready to strike should the Foxes falter.

One of these is Preston, Leicester’s opponents on Wednesday who would see a win move them within a point of the Foxes.

However a win for Leicester, regardless of what happens to Ipswich, would see Maresca’s men seven points clear of third, as a early but potentially insurmountable point advantage widens.

Will they be able to pick up all three points as Preston come to town?

Prutton predicts Leicester v Preston

Writing in his predictions column on Sky Sports, David Prutton has gave his view on this upcoming round of fixtures. Among these, he has predicted a 2-1 win for the home side here.

He said: “Leicester are formidable. Fierce going forward, and tight at the back. Even with the squad they have at their disposal, eight wins from nine games is a ridiculously good start.

“Preston, meanwhile, have had a bump back to reality in the last week or so. After an incredible winning run they were held at struggling Rotherham then given an almighty thumping by West Brom. It is up to them to show their start wasn’t just a blip, but the King Power is not the place to do that.”

So a win is the census among predictions for Leicester which puts Leicester in a very comfortable spot in their campaign now.
