Leicester decided to hire one of Pep Guardiola’s assistants this summer in Enzo Maresca, with the Spaniard being uncharacteristically quiet.
Maresca joined following the Foxes relegation to the Championship and has quickly went about a rebuild.
Selling or releasing countless star names such as James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Youri Tielemans and Jonny Evans he has had to move quickly to replace these.
Conor Coady, Harry Winks, Mads Hermansen and Callum Doyle have all arrived with Stephy Mavididi believed to be next.
In pre-season we have seen Maresca line his side up as Guardiola would with a style similar to the treble winning side.
Speaking about his departure, Guardiola wished Maresca all the best at Leicester.

Guardiola who is usually so outspoken on matters, finally spoke about Maresca’s departure as he met press in Japan reported by Leicestershire Live.
Jokingly Guardiola started by saying, “I don’t know what happens with my assistant managers, I take care of them incredibly well and all of the time they drop me!”
He continued, “I want to say thank you a lot to Rodo for the incredible seven years together and Enzo for the last year.
“They were an incredible part of the success we had and I wish them, Rodo in MLS and Enzo with Leicester, the best. They deserve the best.”
He will be keen to replace Maresca who was important in the treble win last season.
The Italian Foxes boss will be keen now to prove he isn’t just an assistant by guiding the King Power side back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
He will need more recruits though, with it seeming likely that he will continue to use his Manchester City links, following the Doyle signing.
