Diego Maradona is widely regarded as one of the best footballers of all time.
Maradona led Argentina to a World Cup triumph in 1986 and scored perhaps football’s greatest goal against England.
The left-footed maverick carried the ball from inside his own half past several players before rounding Peter Shilton and stroking home.
Maradona’s brilliance continued at Napoli, as he led them to their first and second-ever Serie A title, cementing himself as a club legend.
Pretty much every fan of a certain generation would argue Maradona is the greatest of all time and with that has come unparalleled fame.
So naturally, when the Argentinian superstar visited Leicester in 2015, it created quite the buzz around the city.

Diego Maradona attended Rugby World Cup game at King Power Stadium
Back in 2015, Diego Maradona jetted into England and attended a Rugby World Cup game between Argentina and Tonga at Leicester’s King Power Stadium.
Argentina won with relative ease and Maradona provided bags of entertainment for the 29,000 fans in attendance, as he was very animated in the stands.
The former Barcelona playmaker passionately celebrated every try and he was certainly the star of the show for many.
Maradona’s stardom was felt around the city and even by the Argentina players, who couldn’t believe he’d travelled to support them in the East Midlands.
Argentina captain Agustin Creevy stunned Maradona came to watch in Leicester
Argentina’s captain Agustin Creevy revealed what Maradona told him in the Leicester changing room after the game and how surprised he was to see him in the stands.
“He said the whole of Argentina was dreaming with us and everyone was behind us and supporting us,” Creevy said.
“He was here because he wanted to be a part of this. We sung and danced and it was lots of fun.
“It was something different and I could never imagine he would have been there with. It was a beautiful surprise for all of us.
“For me, Maradona was always the best player in history and it was a very nice surprise to have him visit us.”
