Leicester City swap league action for cup football this weekend as their FA Cup journey begins.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side will face Championship opposition in Queens Park Rangers in a game that will come as a welcome distraction to everyone associated with the Foxes.
All five of Leicester’s most recent games have ended in defeat and as they prepare to mount a run of form that can see them climb out of the relegation zone.
Leicester could have three players back for the QPR clash but there will be a slight change to this FA Cup Third Round tie thanks to a bizzare kick off time.

What time does Leicester vs QPR kick off?
The Foxes face QPR on Saturday 11 January at the King Power Stadium.
As it wasn’t selected for TV broadcast, this would usually mean a 3:00PM kick off, however, the game will actually start an hour earlier, instead kicking off at 2:00PM.
This is because Leicester play on the same time as Leicester Tigers, the rugby side in the city.
They have a European fixture to fulfil that same day and will kick off at 8:00 PM.
A statement on the club’s official website confirmed that the decision had been taken “following discussions with the Safety Advisory Group and in agreement with all other relevant parties.”
Leicester vs QPR head-to-head record
After facing off against each other last season, with Leicester winning one and QPR winning the other of the two meetings, both will face off in the FA Cup this time around.
Saturday’s game will be the 62nd time Leicester vs QPR has taken place and in a surprise turn of events, it’s the West Londoners who should be the more confident based on previous results.
| Leicester record vs QPR | |
| Wins | 24 |
| Draws | 10 |
| Losses | 27 |
QPR have been the more successful having won 27 of the meetings, the most recent of those coming last season.
The last time Leicester beat the visitors was in October 2023, winning 2-1 at Loftus Road after a sensational Harry Winks strike earned them a hard-fought win.
