Leicester City completed an impressive comeback against Southampton over the weekend.
The Foxes faced a trip down south for a Premier League meeting with Russell Martin’s Southampton this past weekend.
Leicester City headed into the game aiming to build on their 1-0 win over Bournemouth prior to the October international break.
Things got off to a concerning start for the Midlands outfit at St Mary’s though when goals from Cameron Archer and Joe Aribo put Southampton 2-0 up after 28 minutes.
The Foxes were exposed down the right once more on Saturday, with one Steve Cooper mistake costing Leicester.
However, Facundo Buonanotte pulled a goal back in the 64th minute before Leicester got lucky vs Southampton when the Saints were denied a penalty before Ryan Fraser was sent off.
Leicester equalised thanks to Jamie Vardy converting from 12 yards before Jordan Ayew then scored a 98th-minute winner to move his side up to 14th in the Premier League table.

Troy Deeney names Leicester City star who stood out vs Southampton
One of Leicester’s best performers on the day was Abdul Fatawu, who came off the bench in the second half to completely change the game.
The winger assisted the Foxes’ first of the day before playing a key role in the build-up to Vardy’s equaliser.
Gary Lineker compared Fatawu to Bukayo Saka after the match, labelling the Leicester man a ‘really special’ kid.
However, it was not Fatawu who ex-Premier League striker Troy Deeney picked out as his Leicester player of the weekend.
Deeney has picked his Premier League Team of the Week for BBC Sport and opted to include Buonanotte in his eleven while praising the Argentine.
He said: “His side struggled in the first half at Southampton but Buonanotte stood out for his bravery. He gave the Foxes a much-needed spark and belief throughout and was pivotal in turning the game around.”

Leicester City stance on Facundo Buonanotte should already be clear
Buonanotte has been a revelation for Leicester since joining on a season-long loan from Brighton and Hove Albion during the 2024 summer transfer window.
The South American has scored three and provided two assists in seven Premier League fixtures for the Foxes, leading the club for goal contributions in the top flight.
There can be little doubt that Buonanotte has been Leicester’s signing of the summer, with it clear they must do everything in their power to try and sign him permanently.
Given his form, Brighton are likely to demand a high sum but if Leicester stay in the Premier League, he is is a must-buy next summer.
