Wes Morgan was famously the captain of that side and has spoken out about the diminutive midfielder.
What has Wes Morgan said about N’Golo Kante?
The Jamaican international joined Championship side Leicester in 2012 in a deal worth a reported £1 million.
He saw it all with the Foxes from playoff defeat to Champions League nights at the King Power.
With all that career experience he has still never quite seen a player who has impressed him as much as Kante.
Speaking with FourFourTwo, the former captain has opened up about the Frenchman’s single season with the club.
Discussing his first impressions, Morgan said: “His first training session left the whole squad in awe.

“We didn’t know very much about him before he arrived and were stunned by how talented he was; he was just everywhere.”
An unknown quantity to everyone at the club. Considering he had only ever played professionally for Caen and Boulogne, that is no surprise.
With that being said, Morgan added: “It is safe to say No one I’ve ever played with has made such a big impression as quickly as Kante.”
Not only did he make an instant impression on his teammates he made it on the Premier League as a whole.
Under Claudio Ranieri, the 4-4-2 was integral to the Foxes winning the Premier League.
On that, Morgan said: “We had a system that worked perfectly, and he was absolutely integral to it; it was like having an extra man in midfield.
What a player, what a season and it is a testament to how good Kante is and was that his teammates still speak so highly of him.
