Jordan Ayew is the son of Maha Ayew and Abedi Pele.
He has two uncles (Kwame and Sola) as well as two brothers, Andre formerly of Swansea City and West Ham United, and Ibrahim. All of them were either professional footballers or are still currently playing.

Ayew’s salary at Leicester is currently unknown however during his time at Palace, the Ghanian earned £25,000-a-week, according to Capology.

When did Jordan Ayew join Leicester City?
The 32-year-old became Steve Cooper’s seventh signing of the summer, joining on 23 August 2024, before making his debut one day later in a 2-1 defeat away to Fulham.

Jordan Ayew started his career out at Marseille, signing a professional deal in 2009 and making his debut for the club that year, scoring on his first appearance against Lorient on 16 December.
He played alongside his brother Andre at the French giants, with the pair both starting in a Champions League fixture against Arsenal.
A loan spell at Sochaux during the 2013-14 season took place before Ayew then joined Lorient on a four-year deal.
He would spend just one season there, scoring 12 goals before moving to England to join Aston Villa in 2015.
The Ghanian spent two years in the West Midlands before linking up with his brother again at Swansea City.
Two years after joining Swansea, Ayew went to Crystal Palace on loan in the 2018-19 campaign before securing a permanent transfer the following season.
He’d spend five years at the Eagles, scoring 23 goals in 212 appearances before leaving to join the Foxes in 2024.

Jordan Ayew international career
Ayew made his senior international debut for Ghana in September 2010 against Swaziland in a 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match.
His first goal for his country wouldn’t come until 2012 when he bagged a brace against Lesotho in a 2014 World Cup qualifier.
He was selected for both their AFCON 2012 and 2014 World Cup squads.
His best moment with Ghana was reaching the 2015 AFCON final however he would end up on the losing side as the Ivory Coast beat the Black Stars 9-8 in a penalty shootout.
He’d be selected once again for the 2021 AFCON finals, which saw Ghana surprisingly crash out in the group stages.
On his 100th appearance for his country he scored two penalties against Mozambique in the final group game of AFCON 2024.
In his two most recent international fixtures, Ayew scored in both 2026 World Cup qualifiers in July 2024, finding the back of the net in a 2-1 win against Mali and a hat trick against Central African Republic.
