Leicester City have been the standout team in the Championship this season.
But Enzo Maresca‘s side were thrown into this international break on the back of two defeats with the Foxes losing against Leeds United and then Middlesbrough last time out.
They remain top of the table but Ipswich Town are now level on points, with Leeds in 3rd eight points behind.
Many still tip the Foxes to runaway with the Championship crown this season but Maresca may well feel that he needs one or two more bodies in January to make sure of that.
And January could also see Leicester City move some names on with several out of contention right now; here we look at three who may have already played their last game for the club…
Daniel Iversen
The Danish shot-stopper has seemingly been on the verge of leaving Leicester City for a while now. But surprisingly, he remains.
He looked a certainty to move on in the summer but he’s still on the books, and having not been involved in a single match day squad so far this season, it looks like he’ll be pushing for an exit in January, if not in the next summer transfer window.
Patson Daka

Patson Daka is another who has suitors in the summer transfer window, with a handful of Premier League teams linked with the 2021 signing from Red Bull Salzburg.
Leicester City paid £23million for the Zambian international but he’s since scored just nine league goals for the Foxes, having only featured once in the Championship this time round.
He’s clearly not favoured by Maresca with Daka more often than not an unused substitute in league fixtures, with the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy well ahead in the pecking order.
Daka remains a player with Premier League pedigree though and there could be clubs coming back for him in January; a loan move may even be beneficial for Daka, especially with Tom Cannon coming back.
Harry Souttar
Leicester City forked out £15million to sign Harry Souttar from Stoke City in January this year, with the Australian international penning a five-and-a-half-year deal.
He went on to make 12 Premier League appearances in the second half of last season. But the 25-year-old has featured just once in the Championship this time round, having fallen badly out of favour under Maresca.
Souttar though insists that he’s willing to fight for his place in the side. He’s recently been quoted as saying:
“I definitely want to stay and fight for my place, for sure. Obviously, I know it’s difficult with the results we’ve been having. But I’ve had a good couple of conversations with the manager and he knows that whenever he needs me, I’ll be 100 per cent ready.”
With Leicester eyeing promotion though, whether or not Souttar is in future plans remains to be seen.
He’s still a very competent Champisonhip player with bags of potential, though, and if there’s a club willing to spend big on a centre-back in January, Souttar could well be someone who comes onto other clubs’ radars.
