Leicester City suffered humiliation at the hands of Brentford on Friday night, resulting in fans calling for Ruud van Nistelrooy to be sacked.
The Foxes had a chance to climb out of the relegation zone before Ipswich Town and Wolves were in action on Saturday, but that mission couldn’t have gone any worse.
Leicester lost 4-0 against Brentford, conceding three goals in the opening half an hour as fans raced out of the King Power Stadium.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men were ripped open at will by Thomas Frank’s resurgent Bees, and more alarmingly, it saw Leicester set an unwanted Premier League record.
It’s now six home games in a row without scoring while conceding at least twice in each, and for Van Nistelrooy, it’s 10 losses in 11 games.
There’s no wonder the fans want the Dutchman sacked and one baffling call explains why he could be on the verge of losing his job at Leicester.

Ruud van Nistelrooy refuses to start Facundo Buonanotte
Facundo Buonanotte was captured on loan from Brighton during the summer. The Argentine instantly endeared himself to the Foxes faithful, becoming a shining light under Steve Cooper.
Buonanotte scored four and assisted once in 10 games under Cooper, with the Welshman showing how much he adored the 21-year-old.
However, despite him being loved by supporters and flourishing in the blue of Leicester, he’s never nailed down a regular spot under Van Nistelrooy.
He’s only started three times since the 48-year-old took charge in November, and that was the case on Friday night, as the Foxes took a pasting.
Van Nistelrooy has explained why Buonanotte hasn’t started much but it’s bizarre considering the quality he possesses.
In the loss on Friday night, Leicester fans cheered when Buonanotte came on and proved why he deserves to start more games while making his manager look very silly.
Buonanotte’s impact vs Brentford
Alan Smith praises Buonanotte’s impact from the bench, saying he made a ‘real difference’ in attack despite only playing the final 35 minutes.
“He’s made a real difference, Buonanotte. The crowd are recognising that. There’s imagination in his play,” Smith said.
Buonanotte was brought on in difficult circumstances but the South American was consistently positive in possession, looking to play forward and create chances while working hard to defend.
It’s therefore bizarre that Van Nistelrooy refuses to start the playmaker and it should result in him losing his job.
