The Foxes were denied their first win of the season as they drew with Crystal Palace 2-2.
Leicester City went into the game against Crystal Palace looking to get their first win of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
It was a fairly quiet start for the Foxes, who were put against the cosh at times by the hosts, however they led courtesy of a brilliantly-taken goal courtesy of Jamie Vardy, who rounded the Crystal Palace keeper in some style.
They went into the first-half break with a 1-0 lead, of which could have been two courtesy of Stephy Mavididi, who had an opportunity before the half drew to a close, however Steve Cooper will have been happy with what he witnessed.
It had been a stark contrast to the defeat on the road to Fulham, and the Foxes looked to be on the way to climbing away from the relegation zones, which was made even more likely following Mavididi’s goal which doubled Leicester City’s advantage only 20 seconds into the second half.
A goal from Jean-Phillipe Mateta made it a nervy second half for the Foxes, and they couldn’t quite hang on as the Crystal Palace got a second from the penalty spot.

Mads Hermansen
Not often called into action in the first half. Couldn’t do too much to deny Mateta for his goal. 6/10
James Justin
Put in a brilliant cross in the buildup to Mavididi’s goal at the start of the second half. Played Mateta onside for his goal. 6/10
Wout Faes
Provided some incredible last-ditch defending to deny Crystal Palace in the first half. Struggled and made a few errors before the break, including letting Eze get past him, however he couldn’t convert. 6/10
Caleb Okoli
Managed to diminish the threat of Mateta early on and matched him physically. Was unable to get enough power on an offensive header that should have challenged the Crystal Palace shot-stopper. 7/10
Victor Kristiansen
Provided a decent delivery from a corner to set up Caleb Okoli in the first half. Looked defensively shaky at times. 6/10
Harry Winks
Did very little of note in the opening half, with Leicester City often up against the cosh. 6/10
Oliver Skipp
A very tidy player in the centre-of-the-park and was an essential part of the side in transition. Showed bags of dedication and commanded the midfield well. 8/10
Wilfred Ndidi
Did very well to play through Jamie Vardy and provide an assist to his finish after he picked up the ball in the centre-of-the-park. Unlike against Aston Villa, he looked comfortable in attacking-midfield. Brilliant awareness to find Mavididi and rack up his second assist of the game. 8/10
Jordan Ayew
Lacked composure and missed a golden opportunity to score against his former club five minutes in. Did very little of note and provided a lack of an impact towards the end of the game. 5/10
Stephy Mavididi
Looked fairly dangerous on the left flank and floated in a dangerous ball early on, but couldn’t find Vardy. Was found by Vardy after Marc Guehi’s mistake, but couldn’t capitalise. Bagged a well-taken goal, however was hooked after 70 minutes. 7/10
Jamie Vardy
A brilliantly-taken finish to put Leicester City into the lead after fending off the Crystal Palace defensive efforts. Was off-the-mark to latch onto Guehi’s error, was robbed of an assist after Stephy Mavididi missed the opportunity. 8/10
