A former Leicester City star looks set to end his Chelsea nightmare and secure a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have been well known for stockpiling players over the years and have never been shy to look to Leicester for their recruitment.

This season alone, the two-time Champions League winners have poached Enzo Maresca and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from the Foxes.

Dewsbury-Hall has been linked with a return to Leicester, but it’s another former midfielder who was at the King Power Stadium that looks to be heading for the exit door.

Chelsea transfer news: Cesare Casadei in talks with Serie A club over permanent transfer

Cesare Casadei has struggled for gametime this season.

Last season, Casadei spent the season on loan at the Foxes and had just began to find his feet before Maresca was left shocked as Chelsea recalled Casadei.

The Italian hasn’t had a minute of Premier League football this campaign and has had less than 500 minutes of gametime across all competitions.

Casadei had been linked with a loan back to Leicester but according to Gianluca Di Marzio, the midfielder could be set for a return to his native Italy.

Di Marzio states that Torino are in negotiations with Chelsea, who want close to £20m. Torino are yet to reach that asking price and have reportedly made an offer in the region of £12m.

The Italian is very keen on the move and it’s believed a deal could be completed soon.

The five most expensive transfers between Leicester City and Chelsea

There has been plenty of crossover between Leicester and Chelsea in recent years, with the latter signing plenty of players from the Foxes.

Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana and N’Golo Kante are some of the biggest names to swap the East Midlands for West London in recent years, with plenty of money being exchanged between the two.

Fofana’s move from Leicester to Chelsea was the most expensive, coming in at a whopping £75m whilst former academy star Chilwell raked in £50m.

Even Dewsbury-Hall, Chelsea’s cheapest of the five cost them £30m and he is a squad player at best for Maresca.

Aside from Kante, and maybe Chilwell, none have been particularly inspiring signings for Leicester, who seemed to get the better end of the bargain.
