Leicester City are already plotting their summer transfer business.
Leicester are near certain to suffer relegation back to the Championship as they reside nine points adrift of safety.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 17 | 29 | 7 | 5 | 17 | 40 | 58 | -18 | 26 | |
| 18 | 29 | 3 | 8 | 18 | 28 | 62 | -34 | 17 | |

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men will have to win at least five of their remaining nine games, so it’d take another great escape to retain their top-flight status.
Jon Rudkin and Leicester chiefs will have to operate on a much stricter budget in the summer, so it’s hardly surprising they’re eyeing a Brazilian star who could become a free agent.
Though, Leicester fans don’t seem to be happy with the transfer link.

Leicester fans don’t want Bernardo
Leicester City are interested in signing Bochum defender Bernardo this summer transfer window.
The former Brighton centre-back is set to become a free agent in July and City are in the mix to land his signature.
However, Leicester fans aren’t convinced he’d be a good addition.
“Notoriously incredible during his spell at Brighton… nice one Rudkin,” @sam_richardsss said.
@Simply1Lcfcfan posted: “Another overpaid player that won’t give a f— about the club.”
“Garbage and injury prone, welcome to the Seagrave Spa,” @HaIfTurn commented.
@leisch30 added: “Another Rudkin masterclass.”
“The club is dead. After 10 years it is time to move on from Leicester City,” @RAY9O2 said.
@ThogBlue posted: “We’re finished.”
Leicester should promote Ben Nelson instead
Instead of signing Bernardo, Leicester should promote young centre-back Ben Nelson to the first-team next season.
Nelson has been impressing on loan at Oxford United and some of their supporters have even compared him to Manchester City’s John Stones.
The 21-year-old, who has been capped at youth level by England, is ready to start for a promotion-challenging team and could partner Harry Souttar.
Souttar was one of Sheffield United’s best defenders before he suffered an injury which has ruled him out for the season.
Nelson and Souttar would make a great pairing and some would argue that they should’ve been the two starting centre-backs this season.
