Leicester City have been named among several other clubs who are keen on signing 26-year-old Colombian Jhon Arias.

Leicester have already identified an upgrade at right wing – despite Yunus Akgun and Fatawu Issahaku both joining during the summer – with Fluminese star Jhon Arias named.

Reports have suggested that there are as many as seven clubs looking into the winger, with the Foxes among them as Enzo Maresca already begins to target new players.

Arias plays the biggest game of his career this weekend, in the Copa Libertadores which pits him and his Brazilian side against Argentine giants Boca Juniors.

It could be a meaningful way for Arias to bow out, with a move this January looking more and more likely.

Arias interesting Leicester

It is according to TeamTalk who exclusively report that Arias has been scouted by several British sides.

The list includes Rangers, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Wolves, Burnley and Leeds Utd which should make for a huge transfer battle in which Premier League sides should have the edge.

Arias is a 26-year-old winger who can play both on the left and right, with the latter being more natural.

Throughout 2023 he has been hugely successful, producing nine goals and 13 assists in 53 appearances in all competitions for Fluminense.

He is also a full international for Colombia and has a market value of £17.4 million according to CIES.

Arias would be a real coup for Leicester ahead of the probable return to the top division, with it looking likely enough to begin planning.

Arias could be an excellent option on both wings, and a player with an evident upside.
