Leicester City have reportedly set their sights on Manchester City prospect Shea Charles as the Enzo Maresca revolution continues.
Leicester are reportedly “eyeing” up 19-year-old Northern Irish midfielder Shea Charles according to the Belfast Telegraph.
Interest in Charles is said to be high as he is regarded as one of the treble winners’ most exciting prospects.
Leicester will face competition from fellow Championship new boys Southampton along with Everton and Borussia Dortmund who are reportedly interested too.

A move to Leicester for Charles would see him reunited with ex-Citizen boss Enzo Maresca. This is a link the Leicester hierarchy will no doubt be keen to use, with Callum Doyle also a target.
The defensive midfielder who can also play in defence has a high ceiling, with Southampton believing he can be their next Romeo Lavia; as the two share the same composed passing and footballing IQ.
Who is Shea Charles?
Pep Guardiola has already given his seal of approval to Charles in terms of his talent. The Spanish manager said:
“Shea Charles against this team with top, top strikers, fast and strong, it’s not the easiest debut.” He continued ,”He played really good and it’s fantastic for the academy.
“We know him, he trains quite regularly with us, he’s so good, so composed.”
Charles despite not even being 20, has six caps for Northern Ireland establishing himself already as the country’s star player.
Last season the midfielder made his senior Manchester City debut, playing 27 minutes in City’s final day defeat to Brentford.
In Premier League 2, he was an ever-present force, playing 26 games as he captained the sky blues to another league title.
Charles no doubt fits the bill, in terms of being perfect for Maresca’s ideal style of play. Therefore he would be a great signing, if Leicester can convince Guardiola to let him go.
