Super Lig champions, Galatasaray, are interested in a move for Wout Faes. The foxes are interested in winger, Yunus Akgun, with a swap deal a possibility.

Acoording to Turkish football journalist, Ertan Suzgun, Faes does not want to play Championship football this season. Despite this report, he did start against Coventry City in the first match week.

This potential unsettled mindset has triggered Gala to ‘put Faes on the agenda’.

This interest from Turkey’s largest city has turned Leicester to enquire about Yunus Akgun.

Who is Yunus Akgun?

The Turkish international made 25 league appearances and contributed to five goals in that time.

A strong dribbler who wants to get on the ball and drive forward, he is comfortable playing wide right or as a number ten.

He prefers to cut in from the right and get the ball onto his stronger left foot.

Crossing is not his strong point but he is adept at making short passes and through balls to create chances for teammates.

Akgun could suit Enzo Maresca’s system very well as wingers in the formation are given more licence to roam and create space and chances.

Should Leicester City let Wout Faes go?

If he does not want to be at the club he should be sold.

Bought for £15 million last summer, a sale would need to come close to this number to make it worth while for the Foxes.

The Belgian came under fire last season for some bellow par performances, none more than his two own goals in seven minutes against Liverpool.

In the Championship, Faes could rediscover the form that saw Brendan Rodgers bring him to the King Power.

With Harry Souttar potentially on the move, keeping hold of the Belgian could be necessary.

If they were both to leave, Maresca would only have two senior centre backs left at the club. This would mean at least one, if not two signings would have to come in.

With little time left in the window and the season already underway, this isn’t a problem the Leicester hierarchy want to be dealing with.
