Leicester City have a tricky final test before the international break as they face Manchester United.

The Foxes’ defeat to Chelsea last week leaves them six points adrift of safety, with that potentially being extended to a nine-point gap if Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Southampton the day before.

Ruud van Nistelrooy has already hinted how he will set up for the game after the Dutchman made a tactical tweak at Stamford Bridge.

Jamie Vardy will be eyeing another Premier League record to break and supporters will be hoping that they can finally see a win against the Red Devils, who have won all three meetings this season.

Ruben Amorim’s men were in Europa League action on Thursday so have had less time to prepare for the fixture.

Leicester vs Man United H2H

Unfortunately for the Foxes, the odds are stacked against them when it comes to the form guide between the two teams.

Sunday’s game will be the 141st competitive meeting between the two teams and the Foxes have only won 36 of those whereas Man United have won 73 of the encounters.

The other 31 fixtures have finished in a draw but given Leicester’s 100 per cent loss record in the 2024/25 season to the Red Devils, it’s going to be a tall order.

Leicester City injury news

Ricardo Pereira posted an emotional update after making his return from injury against Chelsea and is in line to play at this weekend.

Van Nistelrooy was praised for the 5-3-2 formation he used at Stamford Bridge and is likely to use it again.

Jannik Vestergaard missed out on being selected for the squad for tactical reasons last week and may face a similar nightmare. Oliver Skipp and Kasey McAteer also missed out on a place on the bench too and are unlikely to feature.

Abdul Fatawu is still the only player ruled out for Van Nistelrooy.
