Leicester have been handed a huge boost ahead of their Friday night fixture against Leeds United as Yunus Akgun returns to availability.

Yunus Akgun will be available for Leicester on Friday after he returns from injury after a two-game absence. Leicester have had a few injuries lately including Wilfred Ndidi, but these issues do seem to be easing.

The boost comes as Leicester look to punctuate their incredible campaign to date with a 10th consecutive win in the Championship.

Akgun hasn’t lived up to fairly heavy expectations this far through his Leicester career with just one assist and no goals despite his seven appearances – although only three have been starts.

His return will be welcomed, as the schedule is due to become very busy over the coming months.

Yunus Akgun to return

Akgun has missed the previous two games, but according to Leicestershire Live will be available on Friday.

He limped off against Swansea and hasn’t featured since but the reason for this is believed to be more a precaution.

With any risk of that ending now, Akgun could be in line to start on Friday for the huge game against Leeds.

Akgun will have to contend with Fatatwu Issahaku on the right, a player who is far his junior but has been better than him this season.

Akgun will need to do more in order to convince the club chiefs at Leicester to sign him permanently upon the end of his loan. As of right now, it isn’t looking likely at all for him.
