Leicester City earned all three points following a memorable and dramatic 2-1 win away at West Brom in the Championship today.
Leicester City headed to The Hawthorns to take on an in form West Brom side this afternoon, with the Foxes heading there on the back of some patchy form.
Enzo Maresca‘s side had won just one of their last four going into this one, being held away at bottom club Sheffield Wednesday in midweek, and so the pressure was on to deliver a performance today.
And Leicester did exactly that; Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall headed the Foxes in front in the second half before Josh Maja scored what looked to be a late equaliser for West Brom.
But right at the death, Leicester City broke on the counter after clearing a West Brom corner, with Dewsbury-Hall squaring the ball to Harry Winks for an easy winner.
‘Insane’ West Brom moment vs Leicester City
Leicester City were arguably the better team today.
West Brom would’ve been delighted with a point, but they wanted more. The Baggies went for a second goal and paid the price after Leicester broke on the counter and scored.
West Brom threw almost all their players into Leicester’s half for the equaliser and were devastated by the pace of Dewsbury-Hall and Winks would kept alongside.
It was a moment of madness for Carlos Corberan’s side, and The Sun journalist Justin Allen labelled it as ‘insane’.

Foxes back on track in quest for promotion?
After a dip in form, and especially after that draw with Sheffield Wednesday in which Leicester City were arguably outclassed, a win here is a huge one.
It reaffirms Leicester City’s position at the top of the table and reaffirms their ability to win games on the road.
The Foxes have been the standout team this season and there was perhaps an air of complacency taking over after pulling 12 points ahead of the likes of Leeds United.

But this win should put Maresca’s side right back on track; there’s a congested festive period coming up and Leicester need as many points as possible, but this win today should give them the confidence and momentum to go forward and start to pull away again.
And now, having experienced a dip in form, it should give the players some added focus for when they go up against teams at the bottom of the table, which can often prove harder than the games against teams like West Brom.
Up next for the Foxes is a home game vs Plymouth Argyle next weekend.
