Steve Cooper watched on as his Leicester City players survived a first-half onslaught to fight back to a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night.
Pedro Porro put Tottenham ahead after 29 minutes, leaving Leicester City fans fearing a hammering as their side struggled to get out of their own half.
Steve Cooper would have been delighted to have got his players in only 1-0 down at half-time, but it looked as though little was going to change early in the second 45 minutes.
That was until a rare foray forward saw the ball land at the feet of Abdul Fatawu who clipped a delicate cross right on the money for Jamie Vardy to head home on 57 minutes after surprising fans by declaring himself fit to play.
From that point on Leicester suddenly seemed to have boundless energy, winning their challenges and finally matching their Spurs counterparts all over the pitch.
A late Tottenham siege proved fruitless as a resolute Leicester defence stood firm leaving Cooper undoubtedly delighted with a point.

New Leicester City Facundio Buonanotte shines in Tottenham draw
Vardy will take the headlines, with the 37-year-old defying his years to score having not featured since the first game of pre-season due to injury.
However, Facundo Buonanotte was the standout performer for Leicester as the Brighton loanee impressed even when the rest of his Foxes team-mates looked shellshocked in the first-half.
The 19-year-old’s display will leave fans excited for what is to come, with supporters taking to X in their droves to comment on the performance of the attacking midfielder.
One fan exclaimed: “Buonanotte, what a player! I can see why Brighton didn’t want to sell him, fair play, baller.”
Another added “What a game from Buonanotte”, with this sentiment echoed as another said: “Buonanotte is different class”.
The praise continued, as one fan saw the Argentine’s performance as a reason cause for optimism, saying: “Massive positive is Buonanotte looks like he is going to be a good player for us. Like what I am seeing so far.”
Another observer was left impressed by both sides of the new boy’s game, saying: “I like Buonanotte. Looks committed to the cause. Big tackles, neat feet.”
Leicester City can build on Tottenham draw with Buonanotte in the side

It looked for all the world that Spurs would run away with the game at the King Power once they broke the deadlock through Porro.
However, Leicester hung on to keep the Tottenham lead to just one before a confidence-building response in the second-half.
They can now take that into the next game against Fulham next weekend where Buonanotte will again hope to impress in a game where he should be able to get on the ball more in the final third.
With Vardy still a willing runner up front, Buonanotte’s ability to create should see the pair strike up an exciting relationship in the coming weeks.
