Leicester City transfer target Facundo Buonanotte has already been given Carlos Tevez’s seal of approval.
The 2024/25 Premier League season is now just over one week away, with Leicester City kicking their campaign off against Tottenham Hotspur.
With a few weeks of the transfer window still remaining, Steve Cooper is finally seeing his first-team squad start to take shape.
The Foxes lost some big hitters early in the summer with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall following Enzo Maresca to Chelsea and Kelechi Iheanacho joining Sevilla on a free transfer.
Leicester have since made four new additions this summer with Michael Golding, Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Caleb Okoli, and Abdul Fatawu all completing permanent transfers to the King Power.
Now, it looks as though the Midlands outfit will finalise their fifth signing of the summer on August 8th.
Leicester will sign Facundo Buonanotte on loan for the 2024/25 season from Brighton and Hove Albion.

Carlos Tevez Facundo Buonanotte comments will excite Leicester City fans
Buonanotte could undergo his medical as early as today, meaning he will be signed in time for the club’s season opener on August 19th.
This will come as a major boost for Cooper, as Leicester wanted to sign a number 10 this summer.
After news broke of the 19-year-old closing in on a transfer to the newly-promoted outfit, past comments about Buonanotte from Carlos Tevez have emerged.
Buonanotte joined Brighton in January 2023 from Argentine outfit CA Rosario Central.
Tevez was the club’s manager at the time and worked closely with the soon-to-be Leicester star.
The former Manchester City striker was full of praise for Buonanotte, comparing him to his former Argentina teammate, Lionel Messi, as per talkSPORT.
He said: “I watch football and it’s been a long time since I’ve seen someone play who gives me as much pleasure as Buonanotte.
“When he brakes and accelerates, he reminds me of [Lionel] Messi. He is at a very high level.”

Facundo Buonanotte could be major signing for Leicester City
Buonanotte is a player who is not afraid to run at defences and create openings with his quick feet and electrifying pace.
Said assets are something Leicester and Cooper could really do with in their squad right now.
After losing Dewsbury-Hall earlier in the window, the Foxes’ attacking threat has drastically decreased.
We have seen this in their recent pre-season outings, with Leicester failing to score a single goal in their last two friendlies.
Having a decent attacking output will be crucial to them avoiding relegation this term and right now, none of their current players are providing that.
However, while Buonanotte lacks some experience, he is a raw talent who could thrive if given more first-team chances.
The teenager made 27 appearances for Brighton in 2023/24 but was not a regular starter throughout the campaign.
But given Tevez’s high praise for the South American, Leicester should expect big things of Buonanotte in 2024/25.
