Leicester City fans continued their long-standing protest against the director of football inside the ground.

Jon Rudkin has been at the centre of criticism for some time now, with Leicester fans calling for him to leave the club.

Rudkin is seemingly going nowhere though, with no suggestion from the Foxes hierarchy to suggest that he could be on his way out.

But as anger levels rise, some fans have had enough and made their point known inside the ground.

Leicester City fans continue protest against Jon Rudkin

Shortly after Man United fans mocked Jamie Vardy with a taunt about Wayne Rooney, Leicester fans could then be heard making their point known in the 14th minute.

Fans protested against Rudkin against Arsenal and did so again on Sunday night, this time with more noise.

The banner, held up by one section of the crowd read: “From dogs of war, to doggy daycare”.

This is a reference to a tifo made by the club’s fans back in their Champions League campaign in 2017, when they played Sevilla and unveiled a banner that read: “Let slip the dogs of war” and a damning indictment of how the club has fallen from the top to the very bottom.

Who is Jon Rudkin?

Jon Rudkin is the current director of football for Leicester City. He also balances his role with being the academy director for OH Leuven.

He has been at the Foxes since the late 1990s, joining as an academy coach before rising through the ranks to become a director of football, a position he has held since the current Leicester owners purchased the club in 2010.

Rudkin is said to have plenty of power at the club and is involved in a lot of the day-to-day activities at the East Midlanders.
