Leicester City beat League One Shrewsbury Town 2-1 on Tuesday night as they continued their preparations for the Premier League.
Having beat Villarreal by the same scoreline in their first game of pre-season on Saturday, it has been a solid start to the summer for Leicester City.
That will be pleasing for Steve Cooper, who has the task of winning over the Foxes faithful after taking over from Enzo Maresca as manager.
Kasey McAteer scored the winner with a neat finish early in the second-half after summer signing Caleb Okoli had scored an own-goal.

However, it was the man that opened the scoring that impressed, with Stephy Mavididi making it two goals in two games already this summer.

Stephy Mavididi impresses in new Leicester City role v Shrewsbury
Mavididi had an strong first season at Leicester last campaign as he scored 12 and assisted six to help the club win the Championship.
Having left England in 2018 to join Juventus before a spell in France, the 26-year-old is gearing up for his first taste of Premier League action this season and looks keen to make his mark.
After scoring against Villarreal on Saturday, Mavididi followed this up with a goal from a free-kick against Shrewsbury, albeit via a deflection off the wall.

His goal aside, it was another impressive showing from the winger who carried out a new role on Tuesday night.
With Cooper setting Leicester up in a 4-2-3-1 that became a 3-4-2-1 with the ball, Mavididi operated as a number ten and showed that this is a position he can be very effective from.
In their review of the individual performances of the Leicester players in the win over Shrewsbury, Leicestershire Live highlighted Mavididi’s impact, commenting: ‘Looked dangerous down the middle in a new role for him in the first-half. Didn’t shy away from receiving the ball under pressure when needed.
Second-half saw him play an attacking left wing-back role which allowed him to get forward down the left’.
Mavididi will be key for Leicester in the Premier League

Having played almost exclusively as a left winger under Maresca last season, Mavididi took up two new roles for Cooper on Tuesday.
His performance in both showed his new manager that he is not only willing to apply himself regardless of position but that he can be a really positive performer in multiple roles.
The former Montpellier man looked sharp operating off of Patson Daka and it could well be a position he is utilised in moving forward.
With another winger being targeted this summer, it would make sense that Cooper has earmarked the number ten role for Mavididi who can influence the game from central areas and provide a threat in and around the box.
