Steve Cooper could use Caleb Okoli to his advantage as Leicester City eye their next target.
Leicester City are beginning to stretch their arms this campaign as they look to replace the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who departed the King Power Stadium to join back up with former Foxes boss Enzo Maresca.
Steve Cooper has since looked to replace the English midfielder that got 26 goal contributions in the 2023/24 Championship winning campaign, with Celtic and Danish star Matt O’Riley one of the options attracting interest from the former Nottingham Forest coach.
Leicester City have also shown interest in former Coventry City midfielder Callum O’Hare following his release from the Championship outfit at the end of the 2023/24 season, with the Englishman available on a free transfer.
Cooper also identified attackers to bolster his squad before the Premier League season starts, with Bobby De Cordova-Reid signing after rejecting a contract at Fulham.
There is also one ongoing transfer pursuit for an attacker which could be helped by the recent signing of Caleb Okoli from Atalanta.

Caleb Okoli could help persuade former teammate Matias Soule to join Leicester City
Leicester City are currently monitoring Juventus winger Matias Soule, who is reportedly available for £22m.
The attacker underwent the 2023/24 Serie A campaign on loan at Frosinone, alongside new Leicester City recruit Caleb Okoli.
Frosinone unfortunately suffered relegation from Serie A, however both Okoli and Soule had a positive campaign in which they became the focal point of the team and were often relied on to make a difference.
Soule started 36 league matches in the 2023/24 season, whilst Okoli was named on the starting team sheet on 32 occasions, getting crucial experience despite being just 21 and 22 years-old respectively.

How Caleb Okoli and Matias Soule’s Frosinone experience could benefit Leicester City
Although both Okoli and Soule’s Frosinone dropped divisions last season, the experience of being part of a side battling relegation in Serie A will be crucial in preparing for the 2024/25 Premier League season.
It is expected that Leicester City will be up against the cosh at times for the upcoming season, with avoiding relegation being the main target for the Foxes before they can go forward.
For Okoli, having already been through similar circumstances already will have climatised the Italian centre-back to an environment which will be very demanding on a centre-back, especially against faster and more physical forwards in the Premier League, as he will have faced in Serie A.
Argentinian winger Soule won’t have been given too many goal scoring opportunities last season, however he still managed to bag 11 goals throughout the campaign, making him the club’s top scorer in the 2023/24 campaign and the only player to score double-digit goals.
This shows that he can still thrive and have that clinical edge when not getting an abundance of chances, which will be crucial for Leicester City at times for the upcoming season.
