Leicester City have identified a Championship midfielder as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall replacement.
Steve Cooper has had to move quickly in identifying a replacement for recently departed midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who has joined Premier League rivals Chelsea.
Dewsbury-Hall will be a massive loss for the Foxes after he scored 12 goals in the 2023/24 Championship campaign.
The English midfielder wanted to reconnect with former Foxes boss Enzo Maresca at Chelsea, who also left Leicester City following promotion from the Championship.
As a result, the former Nottingham Forest boss has acted quickly in bringing players through the door, including Bobby De Cordova-Reid, who will provide necessary Premier League experience for Leicester City.
Serie A star Caleb Okoli is also moving closer to a move to the King Power Stadium for a reported fee of over £12m
Cooper is also looking to make a move for a Championship attacking midfielder following his release.

Leicester City considering a move for former Coventry City midfielder Callum O’Hare
Leicester City are reportedly considering a move for Callum O’Hare, who has been on the Foxes’ radar ever since January, per The Athletic.
The former Coventry City midfielder bagged a brace in the Championship at home to Leicester City this season, as the Foxes lost out 3-1.
O’Hare has been released by Coventry City following a fairly successful season with the Sky Blues, getting nine goal contributions in just 31 matches from attacking midfield.
The 26-year-old’s performances last season warranted praise from Coventry City boss Mark Robins, who admitted that the Englishman has ‘been incredible for the football club’.

Is Callum O’Hare the closest Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall replica that Leicester City could sign
Like Dewsbury-Hall, O’Hare has proven pedigree at Championship level across his time with Coventry City, something that has the potential to be translated into Premier League quality.
O’Hare is more often utilised slightly further forward than Dewsbury-Hall, however Cooper may be able to give him this attacking freedom in the centre of the park.
Both Wilfred Ndidi and Harry Winks will be required to stay at the club for a further season in order to get the most out of the former Coventry City star, as they will be perfect in sitting back and holding their shape as O’Hare is given the opportunity to create chances.
If O’Hare is handed the platform to have creative freedom in the middle for Leicester City, he could be a real asset for Cooper this season and Leicester City would struggle to find a better Dewsbury-Hall replacement than O’Hare, especially considering the former Coventry City attacking midfielder will arrive at the King Power Stadium on a free transfer.
