Leicester City played out a hectic third-round FA Cup meeting at Loftus Road against QPR on Saturday.
There have been plenty of goals in Leicester City’s recent Premier League matches and that trend continued over the weekend.
Leicester faced QPR in the FA Cup, looking to pick up their first victory in six attempts in all competitions.
Ruud van Nistelrooy put out a very strong starting line-up on the day with Wout Faes arguably the only player in the team who is not part of the Foxes’, currently fit, best eleven.
In turn, it came as little surprise when they took an early lead against the Championship outfit via James Justin.
However, it was by no means an easy afternoon for the Midlands outfit, in large part due to Harry Wink’s awful display.
Leicester did beat QPR when all was said and done though, with two stars really impressive on the day.
Bilal El Khannouss and Facundo Buonanotte will be crucial to Leicester City survival
Bilal El Khannouss provided the assist for the Foxes’ second and third goals on Saturday, with his pass to Facundo Buonanotte for the South American’s strike quality.
The duo combined well in Leicester’s front line, having a hand in three of their goals against QPR.
Now, after their starring displays in the FA Cup, journalist Rob Tanner has taken to X/Twitter to make a big claim about the pair.
He wrote: “El Khannouss and Buonanotte are LCFC’s greatest hopes of Premier League survival.”
While Buonanotte has been immense this term, he has fallen out of favour in the Premier League.

The Argentine now has five goals and three assists in 20 matches since arriving on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion.
However, despite being one of Leicester’s most prolific players this term, Buonanotte has only started in one of their last five Premier League games and that was only because Jordan Ayew was suspended.
Van Nistelrooy commented on Buonanotte’s role following another snub against Aston Villa last week.
He said: “Facundo is also a vital member of the team and will be very important in the months to come and help us to perform and he knows I’m thinking of him like that.”
