Leicester player ratings from Everton thumping, nightmare Mads Hermansen return as one defender given 1/10

Leicester City had an afternoon to forget away to Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Foxes put in one of their worst-ever performances with David Moyes’ Toffees running out convincing 4-0 winners.

Abdoulaye Doucoure opened the scoring with Beto adding a first-half brace before Iliman Ndiaye finished off the tie in the second half.

Following what was an awful performance, and one that piles the pressure on Ruud van Nistelrooy, we have rated every Leicester City player who featured.

Mads Hermansen – 2

Not the comeback Mads Hermansen would’ve dreamt about last night.

The Leicester City goalkeeper conceded four in total; three in the first half, including an Everton-record goal from Doucoure after just 10 seconds.

James Justin – 3

Another poor showing from James Justin. The full-back will be lucky to keep his starting place.

Subbed off for new signing Woyo Coulibaly after 77 minutes.

Jannik Vestergaard – 2

Awful in defence, Jannik Vestergaard put in a poor performance.

The Denmark defender looked slow across the ground and was outmuscled all afternoon.

Subbed off for Caleb Okoli after 60 minutes.

Wout Faes – 1

One of his worst displays in a Leicester City shirt. Wout Faes did nothing to stop Everton’s attack.

Victor Kristiansen – 2

Like his teammates, Victor Kristiansen also had a game to forget.

The Dane was nowhere to be seen for Doucourse’s opener and continued the same trend throughout the rest of the game.

Harry Winks – 3

Failed to get the better of Everton’s industrious and physical midfielders.

Harry Winks attempted a few long-range passes but had absolutely no impact on the game.

Boubakary Soumare – 3

Boubakary Soumare allowed the ball to cut through Leicester City way too easily.

Woeful.

Jordan Ayew – 3

Ineffective all game. Jordan Ayew offered nothing going forward and contributed very little in defence.

On set-piece duties, the Ghanian disappointed and will be lucky to keep that role next time out.

Bilal El Khannouss – 6

Saturday’s game at Goodison Park was by no means Bilal El Khannouss’ best performance in a Foxes’ shirt, but the Morccoan was a rare shining light.

He was without a doubt Van Nistelrooy’s best player — it’s just a shame his teammates couldn’t match his effort.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid – 3

Not good enough.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid, like Ayew on the opposite flank, had a poor match and offered nothing.

Subbed off for Stephy Mavididi after 77 minutes.

Jamie Vardy – 2

Worked hard as always, but Jamie Vardy was barely in the match.

He failed to register a single shot and was eventually subbed off for Patson Daka after 60 minutes.

Substitutes

Patson Daka – 3

Like Vardy, who he replaced, Patson Daka offered zero threat in attack.

Caleb Okoli – 2

Poor.

Woyo Coulibaly – 4

The brightest of all the subs but still nothing to shout about.

Stephy Mavididi – 3

Tough match to come into. Stephy Mavididi couldn’t stamp his authority on the game.
