Leicester City have made it into the history books… Just not their own.
The Foxes travelled to Merseyside to take on Everton in an important clash at the bottom of the Premier League table.
Leicester City came into Saturday’s matchup at Goodison Park in 17th place, six points off the Toffees.
However, failing to follow up on last weekend’s performance that saw Leicester City beat Spurs 2-1, Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side, despite being aware a win would boost their chances of survival, endured a torrid first half.

Leicester City help Everton set new club record
Van Nistelrooy made just one change to Leicester City’s lineup to take on Everton. Goalkeeper Mads Hermansen returned in place of Jakub Stolarczyk.
Despite the importance of Saturday’s game, the Foxes got off to the worst possible start — literally.
Abdoulaye Doucoure opened the scoring after just 10 seconds.
Not only has the midfielder’s strike become the fourth-fastest goal in Premier League history, but it is the fastest to be scored in Everton’s history.
Ruud awakening
Leicester City’s frailties at the back were laid bare in the opening minutes of Saturday’s match against David Moyes’ Everton. The Toffees have been ruthless in attack, and at the time of writing, lead 3-0 following a brace from Beto.
In charge of the Foxes for just two months, Van Nistelrooy is already under huge pressure and among the favourites to be next to lose his job.
Having won just two Premier League games since replacing Steve Cooper, and on course to drop another three points away to Everton, Van Nistelrooy, who has Manchester United (FA Cup) and Arsenal up next, will surely be fearing the worst.
